Did anybody else notice that super8 film disappeared from Kodak's online store? It's back now.
Why is it that the online store only carries K-40 without processing? No K-40 w/mailers. They don't cary the mailers either.
Speaking of mailers, are you supposed to send them to Switzerland or to New Jersey? Does the price of the mailer include return postage?

I never noticed. I always thought people were buying the mailers elsewhere. You send the film to N.J. and they forward it onto Switzerland. Just drop them in the mail, right? I think B&H photo sells them cheap, along with a lot of other stuff I've noticed...

I've never been able to understand what you guys are talking about concerning the K-40 w/ processing offered on the Kodak site.
Any time I tried to order K-40 online from shop@Kodak I get it for $10.83 a roll plus shipping, never any mention of processing included. Where is everyone finding this information out?
In the meantime I've been sticking with the Ektachrome. The K-40 is much more vibrant but I shoot in lower lit situations outdoors so the Extachrome seems fit for my purpose.

You can't get it online. That's my complaint. You have to call 1-800-621-FILM and ask for CAT No. 505 3335. It's $13.54/cart plus sales tax (for whatever state you live in) plus shipping. If K-40 w/o processing is $10.83 then you are getting the PK-59 mailer for $2.71. B&H charges $5.59 so it's a savings of $2.88 on the mailer.
I got the word from www.littlefilm.org

So is the mailer considered your processing?
That's awfully cheap... cheaper than the infamous walmart

The whole point of the mailer is it is a one shot deal. It includes your processing, and your 'shipping and handling'. Now that I have brought up those two bad words,...where B&H is the cheapest as far as price per unit they get you on the shipping and handling. It appears that they use FedEx for whatever reason and it is like $7.50 per order, up to about three mailers. They advertise a low price to get you there then make a profit on the shipping and handling. Maybe FedEx just costs more overall; I hope this doesn't offset the cost savings for using them.

Wal-Mart farms it out to Dwayne's. That's according to the 8mm Film Metadirectory.

Thanks for the tip! It doesn't make sense why they won't put this sku on the web!?? It helps to read the whole post, I thought BH was still the best deal. I'm ordering some K40 with mailers from Kodak today.
